Endometriosis

What is Endometriosis?

Endometriosis is where cells similar to those in the lining of the womb (uterus) grow in other parts of the body. It can have a big impact on your life, but there are treatments and lifestyle changes that can help.

How can physical activity help?

Physical activity can be beneficial in managing endometriosis by helping to reduce pain and improve overall well-being. Regular exercise, such as aerobic activities, stretching, or gentle yoga, can increase the release of endorphins, which are natural pain relievers. It can also improve circulation, decrease inflammation, and reduce stress, all of which may alleviate the symptoms of endometriosis. Additionally, maintaining a healthy weight through physical activity can help regulate hormone levels, which may lessen the severity of symptoms.
