Inclusive Bowls a hit at South Petherton Club

Last Saturday saw a great turnout at South Petherton Bowls Club for the second of their four inclusive bowls sessions. Over 30 people attended the session where they received an introduction to the game of bowls and coaching from some of the club coaches.

Jen Slade SASP Inclusive Projects Officer commented "We had a brilliant couple of hours, everyone was really reluctant to go home". The Club and participants taking part are keen to make this a regular session in the new year, as a result I have been asked to attend their committee meeting at the end of the month to move this forward".

One person came along with mum, dad and grandad, sadly grandma recently passed away and after being involved on Saturday grandad has decided to take up playing along with his grandson.

The club is giving membership to everyone taking part in these sessions. If you would like to come along to the next FREE session on the 21st November or to find out more information contact Jen Slade jslade@sasp.co.uk or 01823 653990.
