SASP have teamed up with 2BU, Minehead Eye, FUSE performance, Conquest and Young Somerset to provide support for 16-25 year olds to feel more positive about their mental health.
Funded by Open Mental Health 'We've Got This' will support young adults to feel more positive about themselves, through providing fun, safe and purposeful environments to feel more empowered about their mental health and their life in general.
Our peer mentors use their own life experiences to offer support to help young adults feel better about themselves, recognise their self-worth, as well as help them to build positive social networks through community groups. Each peer mentor has their own areas of interest and we aim to match individuals up with a mentor who shares a similar interest to them.

We've Got This is here to support young people ages 16 to 25 to feel more positive about themselves, through providing fun, safe and purposeful environments to help them feel more empowered about their mental health and their life in general.
The project supports young adults with a peer mentor who can;
- help to talk about what you are feeling and experiencing
- introduce you to ideas and approaches that other have found helpful
- reassure you that you're not alone in how you are feeling
- help you to connect with others and give you a sense of belonging
- encourage you to value your strengths
- build your self-esteem and confidence
- help you to feel more hopeful about the future.
If you would like to learn more about how you can be involved, please contact Laura Dyke, Community Resilience Young People Lead on LDyke@sasp.co.uk or call 01823 653990.
