Meet Tracie Philpott, the new Health and Wellbeing Coach for SASP, serving care homes across North Sedgemoor!
Since her appointment in March, Tracie has brought a powerhouse of knowledge, experience, and local insights to her role, and SASP couldn't be happier to have her on board. Becky Bostock Senior Project Officer for Health, & Tracie Philpott Health & Wellbeing Coach (care homes), can you guess where they are?
Tracie has hit the ground running with the North Sedgemoor Primary Care Network (PCN) team, forming great connections with key players like Helen Rostron, an Occupational Therapist, as well as care coordinators and other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Working alongside PCN staff at Berrow Health Campus has made collaboration easy and effective, strengthening ties and team spirit.
One of Tracie's biggest wins so far? Inspiring care home staff to complete SASP's "Move More, Live Longer, Better" training. Care home managers are seeing firsthand the benefits of physical activity, and the enthusiastic uptake has been a huge boost for everyone involved!
Getting to know each unique care home has been an enlightening experience for Tracie. She's learned about the wide range of sizes, activities, staff, and layouts within each home, which has been both eye-opening and inspiring.
With Tracie on board, North Sedgemoor care homes are set for exciting times ahead—her enthusiasm and expertise are making waves already!
