Training & Development

We run, support and promote a range of learning opportunities across Somerset. Supporting you to improve your knowledge, skills and confidence, and to meet those minimum standards to deliver safe and effective physical activity interventions in your community.


Safeguarding

Safeguarding & Protecting Children

If you have never completed this course then you need to complete the first instance via a UK Coaching online classroom which can be booked here.

Once you have completed the course once, every 3 years you will need to renew. You can do this via an eLearning renewal here.

Safeguarding Adults

This online course will give you the knowledge and confidence to safeguard adults at your sessions, including those identified as 'at risk'. You'll learn how to create a safe environment in which all adults can enjoy sport and physical activity.

Time to Listen

Time to Listen is a 3-hour course for Club Welfare Officers (CWO). CWOs must have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop previously and will need to bring their own reporting procedures to the workshop. You can find a list of online courses here.
