Walk Your Way
Choosing how you walk couldn't be simpler. Here at SASP, we have a range of options available to get you started, keep you motivated and improve your health and happiness.
Whether you are new to walking whilst living with a health condition, returning to walking following illness, injury or shielding, looking to increase your walking fitness, feeling safer at home and walking virtually, completing a recorded walking challenge for regular motivation, trying some social walking with plenty of time to chat and make friends or playing a walking sport for that added bit of competition!
Walking your way to better health and happiness pulls together programmes, links and resources to guide you along your walking journey and we have teamed up with various partners to help make this happen. From GP surgeries, schools, voluntary groups, leisure centres, community halls, toddler groups, workplaces and NHS services. SASP is dedicated to promoting the walking message, encouraging more of you to walk in ways that work best for you.
Get Outside in Somerset is helping our community to get outdoors and move in more ways that suit you. Founded by Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership in partnership with Somerset County Council, Community Council for Somerset, Spark Somerset and Somerset Wildlife Trust, we are here to empower people to get outside more often and enjoy our beautiful county.
